Dachshund

Howdy Ho Devart!

Now that the holidays are over, and the respective owners have received their gifts, and I remembered I hadn't posted these up... XD

A commission I was given to craft a Dachshund. Its roughly life sized. Body is a tad too short length wise for a proper Dachshund... Just one of those things I realized only after I was assembling it. But otherwise it turned out awesomely.

Especially considering I spent all of... 10min? Sitting on the floor with a Goggle image search of Dachshunds up on my comp quickly throwing a pattern together. lol

I rather like how this turned out, and I like this patterns design. Not terribly difficult to bend and assemble, and it can definitely be applied to any kind of dog breed with adjustments.

Crafted from 20 gauge sheet metal.
Colored using an Antique red/brown patina (which didn't turn out as solid and dark as I'd intended, but still looks good)
Nuts for the eyes and nose.
