Hurray! I can finally post this!

This was a Christmas gift for my best friend. We've known each other for... 13 or 14yrs now. We don't talk as much as we use to, but we always pick right back up like there was no time gone at all.

I've been wanting to make him something really nice for a long time. He's been awesome enough to send me one of his favorite board games for my birthday, then sent me a hard disc with a whole ton of anime series I really wanted. And a couple years ago he moved into a new house. I'm such a huge slacker when it comes to making things. XD But this Christmas, I really wanted to surprise him with something cool.

This design is based off of my Iron Phoenix Dragon, so the body and tail are all segmented and move. I kinda made this a little bit bigger then I had originally planned. XD So it's actually bigger then my own dragon, which meant I had to modify some of the design aspects a bit.

I wanted to try making wings. I'd had someone asking about making a posable dragon in a wyvern-like style (wings in place of front legs). This dragon isn't really designed to sit on your shoulder. His wings are just too large for that. But he is perfectly suited to sitting on a shelf or table!

I painted this big boy with blue, purple, and gold metallic paint. Once I had it done, I still felt like it was a little... too plain looking. So I took my nail polish pens to it and decorated all the spines and the wings!

Since my friend lives in the UK, this took a couple weeks to get to him. And unfortunately it arrived literally on the day he was leaving out-of-country for the holidays. >__< So he had to wait another couple of weeks before he was back home and could pick it up. But now it sits on his window sill!
