What's better then a little armadillo?

How about a HUGE armadillo!

This was a request from a customer, who'd bought one of my little armadillo's. I guess she really liked the design and wanted a really big one.

Sooo... I made a big one!

This bad boy is around 20in tall x 4ft long.

Crafted from 20 gauge sheet metal, with some rod running along the frame to help it keep its shape.

This was a bit of an interesting project. I didn't actually have designs for a giant armadillo, so I pulled out my normal designs, set it on the sheet metal, and tried to copy the shape while scaling it up.

Actually ended up having to shave down the final pieces quite a lot because everything didn't come out quite right. But overall, everything went together surprisingly well.

Added a bit of decorations across the shell and face.
